Job Summary

We are looking for STEM Rater for GenAI Data Project (Mathematics / Physics / Chemistry / Biology / Coding / Finance). Following are details:

Job title: STEM Rater (with one of the specialization - Mathematics / Physics / Chemistry / Biology / Coding / Finance)

Location: Remote

Engagement availability : 40 hours per week - timing Flexible

Duration: 3 months (with possible extension up to 1 year)

Employment engagement : Freelance consultant with (Mayflower Language Services Pvt Ltd)

Payment Terms: 30 - 45 days from the date of invoice. (after a month confirm on the number of hours worked once confirmed by the clients create an invoice which would take 30 - 45 days for you to receive the payment.)

Process: 1st round assessment test (process and behavioral within 24hours of the link shared) 2nd round Aptitude Test (within 24hours of the link shared) 3rd round of interview - Task Test Assessment

Role Overview

As a STEM Rater specializing in Mathematics / Physics / Chemistry / Biology / Coding / Finance you will play a pivotal role in training and refining next-generation AI systems designed for STEM learning. Youll create evaluate and enhance high-quality educational data that powers intelligent learning solutions shaping how millions of students across the world learn complex concepts through AI.

This role blends deep subject matter expertise content development and AI evaluation making it ideal for educators researchers and academic professionals passionate about accuracy pedagogy and innovation in learning technology.

Core Responsibilities

1. High-Quality Data Creation & Curation

Develop and refine high-quality solutions explanations and step-by-step derivations for STEM problems across multiple difficulty levels.

Ensure strict adherence to quality rubrics style guides and pedagogical standards focusing on accuracy clarity and conceptual soundness.

Anticipate and address common student misconceptions through well-structured explanations.

2. AI Response Evaluation & Feedback

Review AI-generated responses for correctness coherence and pedagogical depth.

Provide clear actionable and structured feedback to improve AI understanding and reasoning.

Contribute to the creation of benchmark datasets and ground truth solutions used to measure AI model performance.

3. Subject Matter Expertise

Apply deep domain knowledge in specific STEM field to assess complex problems validate solutions and propose alternative approaches.

Stay updated with evolving curriculum standards (JEE NEET GATE university-level) to maintain relevance and rigor.

4. Collaboration & Workflow

Work closely with the STEM Lead and other raters to maintain consistency accuracy and quality across deliverables.

Adhere to project deadlines workflows and review cycles.

Communicate proactively to resolve content or process challenges.

Required Qualifications & Experience

Education: Masters degree (./) in relevant subject area from a Tier-1 institution (IIT IISc IISER NIT BITS CMI TIFR or equivalent). A Ph.D. is a strong plus.

Academic Excellence: Demonstrated academic distinction through coursework national-level examinations or research achievements.

Subject Mastery:

Strong conceptual understanding across a wide range of topics in your field.

Ability to solve advanced problems at JEE Advanced / NEET / GATE / Olympiad / Graduate level.

Experience: Minimum 7 years in teaching tutoring content creation or academic research within your STEM discipline.

Communication: Exceptional written communication with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and concisely.

Preferred Qualifications

Proven track record of mentoring top-performing students (Top 100 ranks) in competitive exams (JEE NEET GATE).

Experience in creating original high-difficulty questions (Olympiad/JEE Advanced/GATE level).

Prior experience in providing feedback to AI/ML systems or working with large language models.

Authorship of study materials notes or question banks showcasing content development ability.
