Job Summary
Statement of Duties: Assists in the teaching process and works directly with children under the direction and supervision of the classroom teacher and/or Special Education teacher and Education Team Leader. Potential responsible of assisting in toileting of individual students physically lifting and physically assisting students. Responsible for other general duties as indicated by the teacher principal Executive Director of Pupil Personnel Services directives of the Superintendent of Schools or his/her designee and policies of the Saugus School Committee Other responsibilities as deemed appropriate by the Principal/PPS : Prefer prior experience with students in a school or similar setting Meets criteria for paraprofessionals as established by MA DESE (DOE) Standards; minimum of Associates Degree Or 48 credit equivalent or Highly Qualified according to District standards Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent of Schools may find appropriate and Relationship or Line of Authority: Works under supervision of teachers/ETL who are responsible to the Building Principal and the Director of Pupil Personnel Services
