Work Schedule
- Day shift
- 64 hours/2 weeks
- Monday-Friday 7 a.m.-3:30 p.m. during the school year (approximately mid-August until early June)
- Includes 3-4 days of summer school coverage (early June).

A Brief OverviewProvides registered school nurse services to schools. This position will have primary responsibility for student health and education at the local school.
What you will do
- Consults with administrators to determine goals and services.
- Complies with school district policies and operating procedures.
- Serves as a team member in identifying evaluating and providing services for children.
- Collects information about the health and developmental status of the student in a systematic and continuous manner. Uses data collected about health and developmental status of the student to determine a nursing diagnosis. Develops and maintains a nursing care plan with specific goals and interventions that are unique to that students needs.
- Serves as a liaison between the school and community health and welfare agencies and the medical profession.
- Focuses on prevention of illness disability and the early detection and correction of health problems.
- Assists with the development and maintenance of student health records.
- Facilitates referral of students and families to appropriate district and community services.
- Provides care for students with scheduled and unscheduled health needs such as administering medications treatments and procedures as directed by the students physician and District policy.
- Provides health education for students staff and parents.

Required Education License/Certification or Work Experience:
- Registered Nurse (RN) - Board of Nursing An active license in the state of practice Upon Hire
