Purpose

Estheticians play a crucial role in enhancing the overall spa experience by providing exceptional facial and body treatments (depending on specific state rules/regulations). Estheticians provide a deep understanding of advanced skincare techniques and offer expert skincare advice to ensure each client receives a personalized and luxurious experience.

Responsibilities

Estheticians are responsible for obtaining the education and licensure required to perform skincare services within the state they are working. The Woodhouse Esthetician has a great deal of contact with the addition to possessing knowledge and expertise in skincare services Estheticians should also be comfortable recommending enhancements and products. Woodhouse Spa Estheticians work closely with the Spa Director and Spa Concierge to ensure that each guest is on schedule for their treatment(s). The Esthetician is responsible for conforming to all Woodhouse Spa standards set forth in the Operations Manual and shall strive each day to exceed guest expectations.

Role Specifications

Welcoming each guest and introducing yourself.

Offering the guest beverages and other amenities available.

Preparing the guest for services according to the treatment protocols.

Reviewing the guests intake form for any valuable information.

Perform waxing/brow tinting services based (if applicable).

Educating the guest about the benefits of the service performed.

Offering enhancers that pair with the guests chosen skincare treatment and educating them on the benefits of the enhancer(s).

Educating the guest on the products used during the service.

Retailing home care products and explaining how to use them properly.

Communicating various promotions to guests.

Referring the guest to other Woodhouse Spa services offered.

Allowing the guest to relax by only speaking when spoken to.

Sanitizing the room according to the Sanitation Policy.

Documenting pertinent guest information in their records via SOAP Notes.

Maintaining organization of the treatment rooms and preparation areas.

Escorting the guest to the dressing room service areas etc. as needed.

Following all Woodhouse Spa policies and protocols.

Ensuring proper lighting music cleanliness and aromatherapy are present.

Supporting the needs of the team and the location.

Maintaining the proper care of spa tools and equipment.

Ensuring safety sterilization and sanitation procedures are completed.

Availability to work weekend and evening hours.

Communicating with staff and management to ensure the location runs smoothly and according to the schedule.

Renewing licensure as required by the state prior to the license expiration date.

Obtaining continuous education per state licensing requirements and/or Woodhouse Spa requirements.

Protecting the Woodhouse Spa brand.

Must maintain minimum sales goals set forth by Spa Director.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Active TX Esthetician license required

MicroDerm certification highly preferred

Chemical Peel certification highly preferred

Organizational Relationships

This role reports directly to their department supervisor/Spa Director.

Compensation and Hours

Compensation hours and pay may vary based on work location and the needs of the organization. Hours cannot be guaranteed.
