JOB TITLE: TEACHER - BEHAVIORIST
UNIT AFFILIATION: MCSSETA
REPORTS TO: BUILDING PRINCIPAL/OTHER DESIGNATED ADMINISTRATORS
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
Valid New Jersey Certification as School Psychologist Social Worker LDTC Teacher of the Students With Disabilities or Teacher of the Handicapped.
Required criminal history background check proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status proof of acceptable Mantoux test results.
Other qualifications that the Board of Education may find appropriate.
Preferred:
- Dual certification; prior experience in consultation and direct instruction
- Knowledge of: Behavioral interventioncrisis prevention de-escalation and restraint training the development of behavioral intervention plans and the application of behavioral principles within the educational setting. Knowledge and skill in crisis prevention and intervention strategies and techniques. Knowledge and experience of the diverse needs of children with disabilities and appropriate special education classroom practices. Ability to communicate effectively with students parents and school personnel.

Salary
- Following the established MCSSETA Salary Guide Step1 $75663.00
