As our Health Safety and Wellbeing Supervisor (Construction) youll be at the heart of our BESS projects ensuring everyone gets home safe and well every day. Youll be the face of Contact on site working alongside a tight-knit project team to deliver all facets of battery storage construction from site mobilisation and earthworks through to commissioning. Your mahi will include identifying hazards championing wellbeing initiatives and being the owners voice in daily site forums and toolbox talks.
Youll thrive in a role where communication is key connecting the dots and keeping everyone in the loop whether its a kōrero over coffee or a quick chat on site. Youll work closely with contractors project managers and the wider whānau reviewing plans asking the right questions and making sure our high standards for safety and wellbeing are met. This is a hands-on boots-on-the-ground role where your influence will help shape a legacy for Contact our communities and Aotearoa.

Were looking for someone who brings a broad set of skills and a genuine passion for keeping people safe. Ideally youll have extensive experience in large-scale construction management especially in power generation or the electrical industry and a knack for building strong relationships with a diverse range of people. Youll be a renowned communicator able to make the complex - simple and youll model positive safety and wellbeing behaviours every day.
Must-haves include experience in complex construction environments strong communication skills and a solid understanding of health safety and wellbeing frameworks. Its a bonus if youre familiar with Permit to Work processes have experience in agile project delivery or bring knowledge of the energy sector but if youre motivated curious and ready to learn we still want to hear from you. We value team players who are quick with praise considerate with feedback and always willing to lend a hand. If youre outcome-driven comfortable working in the grey and excited to be part of a kaupapa that leaves a lasting legacy this could be your next step.

This will initially be a 12 month fixed term period (with the potential to extend inline with future projects).
