The Illinois Department of Employment Security (IDES) is seeking an organized professional and results oriented individual to serve as a Veterans Career Coach - Disabled Veterans Outreach Program (VCC-DVOP). Responsibilities include performing professional level duties in the areas of veterans outreach coordination of employment workshops work history assessment vocational guidance employment planning employability services referrals and job placement. Individuals in this position will also conduct a variety of outreach activities to promote services available to disabled veterans and other persons eligible for assistance under the Disabled Veterans Outreach Program (DVOP) and engage with organizations serving DVOP eligible populations such as veterans organizations workforce partners employers and community-based organizations. This position provides a great opportunity for someone who has experience providing employment services and extensive knowledge of veterans needs and community resources available to veterans.
