POSITION TITLE: Instructional Assistant - Kindergarten Substitute
FLSA:Non-Exempt
REPORTS TO:Principal or designee
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: To cover a leave of absence from approximately November 20 2025 through the end of theschool year unless circumstances dictate a change.
18 hours per week specific hours designated by Principal or designee. Non-benefits eligible position at-will position. $20.86 - $26.89 per hour for days worked.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- to ensure the health safety and well-being of the children enrolled in the full-day kindergarten program;
- to assist the classroom teacher in responding to the needs of the children in the full-day kindergarten program;
- to work cooperatively with other school personnel involved in the full-day kindergarten program;
- to supervise large groups of children outside of the classroom (e.g. in the lunchroom on the playground in the bus line) and;
- to perform other duties as assigned by the classroom teacher / principal or designee.
QUALIFICATIONS:
High School degree required. Classroom experience and college degree preferred.
