Patient Transporter Telemetry Unit

Schedule:Full-Time 36 Hours Day Shift 7:00 AM 7:00 PM Every other weekend & holiday required

About the Role

Mercy Medical Center is seeking a dedicated and energeticPatient Transporter (Mobility Assistant)to support our Telemetry this hands-on role youll help patients maintain strength and mobility through safe ambulation and transport contributing directly to improved recovery and outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist patients with walking and mobility exercises to promote independence and physical recovery.

• Safely transport patients within the hospital ensuring comfort and dignity.

• Collaborate professionally with nurses physicians and other care team members.

• Maintain a clean and organized environment by supporting stocking and light cleaning tasks.

• May assist with basic clerical duties to support unit flow.

• Adhere to safety protocols and infection control procedures.

• Perform other duties as assigned by the Nurse Manager.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.

• CPR/BLS certification required (American Heart Association accepted; American Red Cross preferred).

• Ability to pass background checks and drug screenings.

• Must be able to walk bend stand and lift/push/pull more than 50 lbs.

• Comfortable working in environments with exposure to bodily fluids and medical equipment.

• Prior experience in patient mobility or healthcare transport preferred.

Pay Range:$16.50 - $20.95

Pay is based on experience skills and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
