POSITION: Laboratory Technician
FULLTIME: 12-month assignment
LOCATION: Marlborough MA
SCHEDULE: 8am-4:30pm
PAY RANGE: $28-32/HR

JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Center for Biological Innovation (CBI) is a Center of Excellence that utilizes in vitro and ex vivo approaches such as biochemical cell-based microbial and tissue-based assays to support the design development and commercialization of products. The successful Laboratory Technician candidate should have appropriate scientific experience to provide the technical support required for supporting in vitro biomedical research studies.

Your responsibilities will include:

Supporting in vitro hemocompatibility testing of blood contacting devices at the bench
Following experimental protocols and executing on tasks both independently and with guidance from senior team members
Assisting with preparation of data for reporting and presentation
Optimizing and troubleshooting technical assays
Maintaining detailed and accurate records

What were looking for in you:
Minimum qualifications:
3 Years with Associate with Biology degree/diploma or Bachelors or an equivalent combination of education/work experience
Background in Cell Biology

Preferred qualifications
Hands-on experience in cell biology techniques e.g. hemocompatibility testing (highly desirable) microscopy. immunostaining flow cytometry and/or cell culture
Ability to quickly learn new techniques and adapt in a changing environment
Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task
Excellent written and communication skills
Ability to work effectively in a team setting and on an individual basis
Results and detail-oriented

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• May on occasion be exposed to loud sounds and distracting noise levels such as from office equipment.
• The ability to lift up to 30lbs
• Use of computers and technology
