Job Summary

Each staff member is asked to help create an environment which encourages respect honesty and trust amongst all co-workers and also offers the highest degree of service to each customer; each staff member is asked to help maintain the store image as an ethical and positive place to work and to addition TPSS Co-op is committed to being an educational resource to the community on ecological environmental and food-related issues.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Verify price tags are present for all products in the department.
Rotate older stock to the front making space for new stock.
Pull short-date or low-quality items and follow established procedures for recording and disposing.
Assist customers with product questions in a prompt friendly courteous manner referring them to other staff when necessary.
Stock displays fully without overcrowding; face items on shelves.
Help with receiving deliveries and rotating overstock into backstock.
Clean up spills remove trash promptly and sweep and mop the floor.
Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Available to work at any time including mornings evenings and weekends.
Ability to perform stocking tasks.
Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 lbs.
Experience serving the public.
Accuracyand attention to detail.
Ability to handle multiple demands.
Ability to project an outgoing friendly personality.
Ability to stand and move around for long periods with and without accommodation.
Ability to work in cold and wet conditions.
Willingness and ability to learn and grow to meet the changing requirements of the job.
