Job Summary

Job Title: Internal Auditor

Contract Type: Permanent

Location:Bradford

Working Pattern: Hybridtypically a couple of days a week in the office. Part-time or flexible arrangements are considered to support work-life balance. Job Description:

In this role youll help add value strengthen and safeguard the Group by providing independent and objective assurance through the effective and timely delivery of the audit plan.

Youll work closely with key stakeholders to agree on actions and ensure follow-up supporting continuous improvement and strong governance across the Group.

Key Responsibilities:

Planning:

  • Assist the Lead Auditor and/or Audit Manager in planning audits.
  • Assist in gathering background information understanding business processes and contributing to risk assessments.
  • Help draft audit scope memos and liaise with stakeholders under supervision.
  • Contribute to the development of audit test approaches and strategies tailored to the audit area.

Fieldwork:

  • Perform audit fieldwork to test key controls and processes as directed by the Lead Auditor or Audit Manager.
  • With support assess the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls risk management and governance arrangements.
  • With support document audit work clearly and accurately in line with internal audit methodology and standards.
  • Contribute to the evaluation of the control environment and risk culture of the area under review

Reporting:

Draft sections of audit reports including findings and proposed actions for review by the Lead Auditor or Audit Manager.

Participate in discussions of audit findings with stakeholders.

Follow-ups:

  • Assist in tracking the status of audit actions and testing their implementation where required.
  • Support stakeholder engagement in line with the stakeholder management framework.
