Employment Term: Maximum Term to November 2026 Part-Time (68.4 hours per fortnight)

Your part in our UnitingCare team
This role will be responsible for providing services to vulnerable children young people and families within the Family Intervention Service (FIS) with emphasis on delivery of high quality best practice service delivery.
This position provides:
A holistic and therapeutic response to the needs of families and individuals that are involved in the child protection system.
Intervention to support the reunification of children and/or young people to their biological family after spending time in out-of- home care placements or working with parents under and an Intervention with Parental Agreement case to work towards minimising the child protection worries so they can remain safe in the family home
This role is a home-based intervention and includes case management requirements as well as therapeutic intervention skills
What makes a difference for us
A Tertiary qualification (minimum Bachelor Degree) in a relevant human services field with relevant experience in previous roles and where relevant registration with a nationally recognised professional body is desirable
Demonstrated skills and sound knowledge gained through experience working with children and families
QLD Suitability Card for Child Related Employment (Blue Card)
Be able to achieve results through personal proficiency and demonstrate high-quality technical or professional work
Experience in the area of child protection is preferred but not essential
Current Drivers Licence
