What You Will Do:

The Guidehouse Internship Program immerses interns in active client engagements the firms culture and a meaningful consulting experience. Interns work closely with project teams to provide deliverables in support of Guidehouse clients and with teams of fellow interns to complete a capstone research project.

Highlights of the Guidehouse Internship Program typically include:

• 10-week experience in Summer 2026 (Anticipated to start Monday June 8 and run until Friday August 14)

provides comprehensive and customer-centric solutions for clean energy programs including energy efficiency demand response electrification energy storage renewable energy and sustainability programs. We help our clients visualize and identify market opportunities for clean energy programs and then work with them to build and strengthen those programs.

As a Guidehouse intern you will work in a team to create and present client deliverables that support essential project workstreams. You will gather and analyze data identify gaps and trends and make recommendations related to baseline performance and structure as well as established best practices and benchmarks.

Key responsibilities for this position may include:

• Data analysis technical engineering reviews economic modeling and/or primary data collection
• Fact-finding research and analysis on energy-related activities
• Report writing
• Developing technology strategies for utilities government and energy companies
• Communicating solutions and new strategies to clients and stakeholders
• Data analysis technical engineering reviews economic modeling and/or primary data collection
• Assessing energy efficiency and renewable energy technologies and trends
• Building and technology energy simulation modelling
• Field performance measurement and data collection of building and industrial process energy systems
• Market research literature reviews and policy analysis
• Fact-finding research and analysis on energy-related activities
• Developing technology strategies for utilities government and energy companies
• Communicating solutions and new strategies to clients and stakeholders

What You Will Need:

• Applicants must be a US Citizen or US Permanent Resident
• Minimum Years of Experience: 0 years
• Minimum Degree Status Required: Graduating with an undergraduate or advanced degree between Fall 2026 and Fall 2027
• Ability to travel
• Ability to work onsite in a core Guidehouse Office or Client Office location

What Would Be Nice To Have:

• Degree/Majors in Engineering (Electrical Power Systems Industrial Chemical or Mechanical) Physics Data Science Business Economics or a related discipline
• Strong interest and/or experience inthe energy clean energy sustainable energy sources energy reliability energy regulatory compliance energy markets and/or consulting industries
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word PowerPoint Excel
• Knowledge of R Python SQL SPSS or other programming languages
• Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proactive and independent work style
• Ability to assume ownership of significant portions of tasks while collaborating with a close-knit team
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong conceptual as well as quantitative and qualitative analytical skills
• Interest in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning
