At GN Hearing we develop innovative hearing solutions with great sound quality and refined design to ensure that hearing aid users will be able to hear more do more and be more.
We are a group of more than 20 engaged Mechanical Engineers who enjoy everything from bouncing ideas off each other thinking of new concepts trying out new materials and making user friendly designs for manufacturing.
We dont consider ourselves to be a typical Mechanical Engineering team. We are unique because we have a high degree of psychological safety are engaged and social. We also have some really cool tools at out disposal: Numerous 3D printing technologies test labs photo and CT scanners and a Prototype Center to help us create fast and usable prototypes. On top of this we work from the first idea to introduction in production and follow the products in market.
Customer insights is essential for us and we are proud of the fact that we are part of launching patient-centric new products on a regular basis. Our team also has a global scope as we have R&D colleagues in Xiamen China.
As our new Senior Mechanical Engineer you will be part of GN Hearings R&D Product Development team at our global HQ in Ballerup Denmark and report to Jan Johansen Manager Mechanical Engineering.
Your contribution is appreciated and you will:
Apply your technical skills by taking part in the mechanical aspects of delivering into projects.
Team up with other mechanical engineers and electronic and electroacoustic colleagues to ensure that the parts we deliver are compatible and fit into the greater scheme of the product. Our internal partners include colleagues from our prototype center materials and biosafety regulatory & compliance and production.
The variety of responsibilities will ensure your personal development. Expect to spend time on tasks such as:
Designing small and precise components in plastics rubber alloys and more
Tolerance chains product quality tests material selection etc.
Making good decision foundation for mechanical direction in the projects
Sparring and sharing tips & tricks with team members
Documentation according to standards
Setting requirements
Sound good so far Heres what we imagine youll need to thrive and create results:
. in Engineering or comparable level of experience
Solid experience in developing products with micromechanical components and electronical elements
A motivation for creation and innovation with direct experience in Creo or other 3D CAD modeling software
Comprehension of regulatory requirements and process compliance in the medical device industry or other regulated industry
Experience with head sets hearing aid design or medical devices
Knowledge regarding SAFe or NVH is also a plus
The ability to work effectively with others
Aptitude to see the greater picture and recognize when directions change
Capability to take the initiative and move things forward
Fluency in English written and spoken
