We are seeking a professional cheerful and highly organised Receptionist / Administrative Assistant to join our dedicated office team. As the first point of contact for visitors and parents you will play a vital role in representing the high standards and welcoming ethos of our school.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide a warm courteous and professional reception service to all visitors staff and students.
Handle telephone enquiries with confidence and politeness.
Manage administrative tasks efficiently including data entry filing and correspondence.
Support the wider school team with general office duties and assist with events and communications.
Essential Skills and Attributes:
Proven experience in an administrative role with a confident and polite telephone manner.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact professionally and cheerfully at all levels.
Impeccable personal presentation and a welcoming demeanour.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to respond promptly and effectively to issues.
Ability to work under pressure prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
Discretion and confidentiality are essential.
Empathy with the aims and values of our school.
Initiative and flexibility to adapt to the needs of the school.
Resilience and the ability to cope with setbacks and challenging situations.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word Excel and Office 365.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
It is a requirement of the post to hold an NVQ level 2 in English.
