You will take a lead role in delivering bat-focused surveys assessments and mitigation while contributing to a diverse portfolio of terrestrial ecology projects across development infrastructure and renewable energy sectors. The Role
- You will enjoy a varied and autonomous position where you will:
- Lead and deliver bat surveys assessments and mitigation strategies
- Provide expert technical advice on bat licensing habitat enhancement and mitigation design
- Coordinate and oversee field programmes data analysis and reporting
- Produce high-quality technical reports and ecology chapters for planning submissions
- Support a range of wider ecology work including protected species and habitat assessments
- Build positive relationships with clients stakeholders and regulators
- Mentor junior team members and support their professional development
- Ensure projects are delivered on time to budget and to a high technical standard
About You
- Experienced Ecologist with strong bat ecology expertise (licence holder or working towards)
- Sound understanding of UK wildlife legislation policy and guidance
- Proven experience delivering and managing ecology projects
- Strong technical report writing and data interpretation skills
- Confident communicator capable of building trust with clients and regulators
- Positive organised and collaborative with a passion for high-quality ecological outcomes
- CIEEM membership (or working towards) is desirable
