Adjunct Faculty Political Science

Concordia University Chicago (CUC) invites applications for part-time adjunct faculty for the Department of Political Science in the College of Theology Arts and Humanities. Part-time teaching opportunities are available throughout the academic year including summer sessions. Applicants with expertise that matches course scheduling needs will be contacted for an interview.

Current opportunities include teaching the following courses for the Spring 2026 semester:

• POS-2350: Intro to Comparative Politics (Tuesday/Thursday 8:00 9:15am)

Minimum Requirements:

• Masters degree in Political Science or related field required Ph.D. preferred
• Experience in face-to-face undergraduate teaching required
• Excellent organizational skills
• Strong interpersonal communication skills both verbal and written
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
• Ability to handle all situations in a pleasant and professional manner

• Candidates must support and be committed to the mission and identity of Concordia University Chicago a university of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod (LCMS).
