The Ford Purchasing team adds critical value to the entire organization. Youll help us source the highest quality parts and services from around the globe while ensuring optimal cost and on-time delivery. Youll also contribute to establishing a robust supply chain so that we can continually produce the vehicles our customers want.

Join our DTES team in an exciting position on the future of our body electronics.

What youll do...

• Application of category management skill set to optimize the commodity and sourcing strategy

• Lead for commodity knowledge and market intelligence including cost bill of process etc.

• Lead TVM activities (NA and global lead/coordination) including objective setting and delivery

• Lead Program sourcing activities (SOBA & CPA)

• Lead sourcing strategy development and execution

• Lead strategic initiatives including Gap Week Cost Strategy Week QCDR/QBR Quarterly Meetings

• Lead cross-functional interface (PD/Finance/STA)

Youll have...

• Bachelors degree in SUpply Chain Business Engineering or other related fields of study

• Strong analytical skills (sourcing evaluations business case studies)

• Strong negotiation skills (creating leverage in both offensive and defensive situations)

• Cost analytics (understand commodity cost drivers part cost breakdowns Gap-to-OCE

• Strategic mindset and the ability to understand current challenges facing the automotive industry

• Strong working knowledge of Purchasing policies procedures and systems

• Fully competent with Microsoft Office Tools

• An ability to travel on company business as required

This position is hybrid. Candidates who are in commuting distance to a Ford hub location may be required to be onsite four or more days per week.
