Job Summary

Director of Operations
The Director of Operations is responsible for the day to day oversight and management of all Regional Directors in their assigned area of the state and works closely with Individuals and their families other service providers case managers BDDS managers and community resources to create and maintain a cohesive and effective support team for the success of every Individual. The Director of Operations will support LELs Mission/Vision/Values and policies and is an advocate for people with disabilities.

  • Deputy Chief of Operations
Supervises:
  • Indiana Regional Directors
Position Title will:
  • Provides direct supervision of all Regional Directors of Program Services.
  • Works closely with all departments to monitor and make sure Individuals are maintained in accordance with applicable laws and LELs Policies and Procedures Manual.
  • Works closely with the Director of Referrals & Community Engagement Regional Directors to ensure compliance with CARF Standards and all waiver regulations.
  • Follows up on timeliness of mortality reviews PCCRs reportable incidents complaints occurrences and change of status reports.
  • Keeps DCOwell informed of important issues and problems.
  • Takes a proactive approach in addressing regional issues programmatic issues and employee issues while maintaining complete support of company operations.
  • Monitors the goals and objectives of all aspects of program services as it relates to LELs operations.
  • Ensures all Individuals Blue Books and other Individual documents are prepared and available in accordance with all applicable rules regulations and LEL policies.
  • Streamlines communications between Operations and Administrative staff to increase efficiency and address performance deficiencies within program staff.
  • Works closely with the Manager of Client Services to ensure Individuals NOAs are maintained in accordance with applicable laws and LELs Policies and Procedures Manual.
  • Works closely with the all Regional Directors of Program Services to insure a continuum of service and support for Program Managers House Managers all Individuals and DSPs.
  • Fosters person-centered best practices in all service delivery aspects.
  • Promotes LifeCourse principles by partnering with Individuals and their families to champion opportunities for greater community presence in their pursuit of a Good Life.
  • Seeks continuous quality improvement initiatives to impact the quality lives of Individuals families and employees.
  • Supports Social Role Valorization principles to assure each Individuals life experience optimizes valued roles in their community prevent further wounding enhances the Individuals image and inclusion.
  • Serves as a peer mentor to other State Directors.
  • Travels throughout the state to support programmatic needs including LEL corporate headquarters.
  • Oversight of all corporate and departmental objectives to assure successful implementation.
  • Any other duties requested by LEL.
Qualifications:
  • A bachelors degree in social work psychology or a health care related field Masters Degree preferred.
  • Meets state criteria as a QIDP.
  • Has a minimum of five (5) years management experience.
  • Experience and skills necessary to perform services listed above.
  • Demonstrates initiative in managing issues and problems.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.
  • Customer service oriented.
  • Satisfies all requirements under applicable law.
  • A positive and pleasant attitude.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Strong organizational skills and close attention to detail.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
