On 1 January 2026 Alfred Health will come together with Kooweerup Regional Health Service Peninsula Health Bass Coast Health and Gippsland Southern Health Service to create Bayside Health a newly merged health service with more than 22000 employees caring for a community of over 1.2 million Victorians. Subject to final approval on 1 January 2026 all employees from the five health services will transfer to Bayside Health.
The Department
Alfred Hospitals Radiology Department is one of Melbournes leading tertiary teaching and trauma hospitals. Alfred Radiology Department values education and professional development and utilises modern technologies across all modalities to imaging challenging patients.
The Role
Your role will be to assist the MRI Supervisor in coordinating MRI services and to support staff in providing the best possible radiographic examinations ensuring patient comfort welfare and safety in accordance with established radiographic practice ethics and code of conduct. Staff will be rotated through all aspects of the departments MRI service to allow the broadest range of experience.
The position will require rotation between numerous MRI scanners providing MRI services to clinical outpatient inpatient and research patient cohorts.
The successful applicant will be supported to develop the necessary skills required to enable them to confidently support less experienced staff in the management of acutely unwell patients and to perform advanced neurological and cardiac MRI examinations in addition to routine MRI imaging.
