Position Description:
The PKI Architect serves as the enterprise expert in architecting integrating and maintaining Public Key Infrastructure and supporting enterprise credentialing and identity federation (including SAML OIDC and cross-domain integration). This role is critical for enabling secure PIV onboarding mainframe and legacy system enablement and facilitating trusted access and federation both within DHS and with external partners.
Must-Have Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 7 years of progressive experience with PKI design/administration identity federation and PIV enablement.
- Specialized knowledge of FICAM FIPS 140-2 SAML OIDC and cross-application authentication methods.
- Hands-on experience enabling secure access for legacy/mainframe environments.
Value-Added Experience:
- PKI and federation delivery in DHS IRS or large civilian environments.
- Implementation of external federation and complex trust architectures.
- Experience supporting Zero Trust architectures and modernization efforts.
