How you will make contributions that matter
We have an exciting opportunity for someone who is wanting to start their career as a Fitting & Turning / Maintenance tradesperson at our Specialty Cheese facility in Burnie Tasmania.
We are seeking a motivated committed and reliable person who is wanting to gain practical on the job experience whilst receiving extensive training and a Certificate III Engineering-Mechanical Trade. Your Responsibilities will include:
Proactive preventative and reactive maintenance to achieve optimal operational requirements whilst maintaining safe work practices.
Small plant and machine upgrades.
Mechanical machining & fitting.
Welding including TIG for stainless steel.
Maintain a clean workplace.
Working through mandatory and elective units to achieve Certificate III Engineering-Mechanical Trade.
About you
Higher School Certificate (minimum) or other relevant qualification with an aptitude for technical/mechanical work.
Practical trade skills and/or relevant pre-apprenticeship.
Someone who is a team player trustworthy and has a good work ethic.
A quick learner with good computer skills.
Strong ongoing commitment to workplace health & safety.
