Position Title: Laboratory / Donor Care Specialist
Location: Hyannis MA
Type: Contract 13 Weeks
Shift: Day Shift
Pay Rate: $25 $31 per hour

Position Overview

Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking Laboratory / Donor Care Specialistfor an exciting job in Hyannis MA.

Responsibilities

• Deliver excellent customer service to all donors patients and team members in accordance with organizational standards.

• Conduct donor screening to determine eligibility per established safety and compliance guidelines (CDC FDA AABB CAP).

• Perform all aspects of whole blood collections and therapeutic phlebotomy procedures.

• Conduct collections both on-site and at mobile blood drives.

• Prepare label and process blood components and samples for testing and storage.

• Accurately document donor information deferrals and related data while ensuring compliance with quality control standards.

• Support donor recruitment and retention initiatives.

• Monitor and maintain adequate inventory of donor care supplies; coordinate replenishment as needed.

• Obtain appropriate blood specimens from both donors and patients.

• Maintain a clean safe and organized work environment in compliance with safety regulations.

• Stay current with departmental policies procedures and emergency protocols.

• Consistently uphold high standards of service excellence and professionalism.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required.

• Experience: Prior phlebotomy experience required.

• Certification:

  • National phlebotomy certification or completion of an accredited phlebotomy program preferred.

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

• Skills:

  • Strong interpersonal written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work both independently and under pressure.

  • Proficient computer and data entry skills.

  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
