Job Summary

Job Description


The Senior Project Manager (SPM) will have responsibility for the success of assigned Medicaid project(s) with a focus on budgeting planning scheduling quality IT Systems interfaces and execution of projects from start to finish. Assist in creating contracts and advanced planning documents (APDs). Act as the primary liaison with the Division of Technology Services (DTS) business partners and contractors. The SPM will manage multiple complex projects simultaneously and will ensure compliance with State and Federal procedures policies and regulations and certifications.

Highly Desired Qualifications

  • A Project Management Institute Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • 5 years of IT Systems project management work experience in healthcare


Preferred Qualifications

  • Medicaid project management experience is preferred
  • Project scheduling software experience
  • Experience with Jira ServiceNow and/or AWS Cloud Services
  • Experience with Microsoft Visio SharePoint and Office Suite
  • Experience with Google Suite
  • Working knowledge of project management methodologies such as PMBOK and Agile Scrum
  • Prior experience with managed care care management Medicaid populations and policies health information technology and/or provider network support
  • Combination of Healthcare and CMS Regulatory project and certification experience
  • Experience with CMS Interoperability and Prior Authorization Final Rule (CMS-0057-F)

  • This positionmay currently be a hybrid of both in-office and remote work days. Please note a positions eligibility for remote work is established by agency management and is subject to change at their discretion at any time and for any reason.


  • Risks found in the typical office setting which is adequately lighted heated and ventilated e.g. safe use of office equipment avoiding trips and falls observing fire regulations etc.
  • Typically the employee may sit comfortably to perform the work; however there may be some walking standing bending carrying light items driving an automobile etc. Special physical demands are not required to perform the work.
