Key Activities/Responsibilities
- Review work orderposition workpieceandoperatevarious machinesthrough production runs to form specified quantities to defined tolerances.
- Analyze and interpretblueprintspecificationsor sample parts todeterminedimensions and tolerances of finished work pieces.
- Plan machine set ups position workpieceandoperatevarious machinesthrough production runs to form specified quantities of piece parts to specified tolerances.
- Deburr parts as needed.
- Monitor machine functions to ensure that parts are manufactured to defined specifications
- Perform first piece inspections and make necessaryadjustmenttomachineto ensure parts are formed todesignatedtolerances.
- Complete inspection reports asrequiredandrepair any defects found and document critical quality information as necessary
- Perform preventative maintenance and ensure machines areoperatingoptimally.
- Communicate with managers production controlqualityand other shop personnel for assignments and to resolve quality issues.
- Act as subject matter expert and train co-workers as requested
- Document outstanding issues either written or verbally to ensure smooth transition betweenshift
- Cross train in other areas of Operations (assembly shipping and receiving).Develop proficiency in multiple areas in order to assist in otherareasas business need change.
- Maintain a neat and orderly work areacomplying withall 5S initiatives and advise
- Follow andcomply withall safety and personal protective equipment requirements.
- Perform other related duties as assigned
- Must be willing and able to work 2nd shift Monday - Thursday 3:30pm - 2:00am
Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
- Certificate in Machining Technologies or equivalent experience preferred
- Minimum3 years experience working in a manufacturing environmentrequired.
- Previousexperience setting up andoperatingan OD Grinding machine preferred.
- Previousexperience setting up andoperatingan NC Honing machine preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret Blueprints/Technical Drawings
