What would you be doing at Woodard & Curran

Woodard & Curran is growing and we are looking for qualified Industrial Wastewater Operators near Douglas Georgia! The Industrial Wastewater Operator regularly participates in the daily operations and maintenance of the Wastewater Treatment facilities as directed by the Project Manager. The Wastewater Operator regularly participates in the daily operations and maintenance of the Industrial Wastewater Treatment Systems as directed by the Project Manager. Participates in an on-call rotation on weekends holidays and outside normal workday hours. Will be required to respond to emergency or unpredicted situations.

Schedule:

12:00am to 12:00pm. Shift workers will occasionally need to help cover an additional shift.

Week one -Working 2 days on (Monday Tuesday) 2 days off (Wednesday Thursday) 3 days on (Friday Saturday Sunday)

Week two - 2 days off (Monday Tuesday) 2 days on(Wednesday Thursday) 3days off (Friday Saturday Sunday).

Responsibilities include:

Monitor wastewater treatment plant processes and equipment both manually and via SCADA automation making adjustments as necessary to control their operation.
Perform water quality sampling testing and analysis to determine compliance with federal state and local regulations.
Operate maintain control and perform routine repair of plant equipment including preventive maintenance duties.
Utilize software programs for maintenance work orders and maintains all necessary records.
Perform general maintenance duties of plant and other assigned duties.

What would you need to succeed

2 years experience working in a wastewater or water treatment environment.
Experience with the maintenance of pumps compressors and plumbing fixture or a background in maintenance is highly desirable.
A valid State of Georgia motor vehicle operators license.
Working knowledge of the principles procedures methods equipment materials and tools employed in the operation and maintenance of Wastewater Treatment and Collection Systems.
Thorough knowledge of the hazards and safety precautions involved in wastewater treatment work.
Knowledge of computer applications.
Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
Successful candidates will be required to complete a background check pre-placement physical and drug screen before employment.

$18.50 - $25 an hour

Depending on qualifications and experience.
