The Opportunity
The Water Research Laboratory (WRL) at UNSW Sydney is offering a newly created opportunity for a Research Manager to lead the establishment and operations of the National Coastal Imaging and Fixed Lidar Station Network a key component of the Coastal Research Infrastructure (CoastRI) initiative under the National Collaborative Research Infrastructure Strategy (NCRIS). Embedded within WRL this role involves developing coastal monitoring programs utilising fixed video cameras and Lidar technology across a diverse range of Australian coastal sites engaging with new and existing stakeholders and partner organisations and coordinating with key external organisations including other NCRIS facilities. The successful candidate will also provide strategic operational and administrative support to the CoastRI leadership team contributing to a nationally significant effort to advance coastal science and resilience.
This role reports to A/Prof Mitchell Harley and Prof. Ian Turner supporting Prof. Nasser Khalili of the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering and has no direct reports.
