The Annual Fund Manager is responsible for planning implementing and evaluating a comprehensive annual giving program designed to broaden the Universitys donor base and increase philanthropic support. The officer will manage a portfolio of annual giving prospects with a focus on alumni parents faculty/staff and friends using targeted solicitations personalized outreach digital strategies and stewardship efforts to achieve fundraising goals.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a year-round strategic plan for annual giving campaigns including direct mail digital outreach crowdfunding and giving days.
- Manage a personal portfolio of annual fund donors and prospects cultivating and soliciting gifts up to $25000.
- Partner with university departments deans and faculty/staff to promote annual giving priorities.
- Coordinate donor recognition and stewardship initiatives to enhance donor retention and engagement.
- Collaborate with the marketing and communications team to create compelling messages appeals and donor impact stories.
- Analyze giving trends and campaign performance; prepare regular reports for leadership to inform strategy and decision-making.
- Support the planning and execution of special events related to alumni engagement and donor cultivation.
- Assist with the creation and implementation of young alumni and recurring giving programs.
- Represent the University at events meetings and off-campus functions to promote giving opportunities.
Education
- Bachelors degree required; Masters preferred.
- Minimum of 35 years of experience in fundraising annual giving or donor relations preferably in higher education or a nonprofit setting.
- Must be able to lift 10 pounds.
