SUMMARY
The Finance/Payroll Specialist will provide assistance with operations within the payroll and finance departments.

Essential duties and responsibilitiesmayinclude but are not limited to the following:
- Assist with processing bi-weekly payroll.
- Complete Verification of Employment documentation.
- Assist with balancing quarterly payroll reports.
- Assist with unemployment insurance to Department of Economic Security & employment data to Bureau of Labor Statistics.
- Reconciliation of current employees in Finance Software.
- Reconciliation of substitute teacher hours via the districts timecard software.
- Assist with onboarding of new employees and new hire documents.
- Assist employees with timecard software.
- Input employee ID badge data within district timecard software.
- Assign employees about new hire documents.
- Assist with creation of finance/payroll software guides and internal excel spreadsheets to assist with finance/payroll procedures.
- Arizona State Retirement System (ASRS) ending payroll verifications.
- ASRS Enrollments.
- Monitor Payroll email account.
- Complete reconciliation of fingerprint documentation.
- Review travel requests and supporting receipts and documentation.
- Review and communicate with supervisors about extra work in timecard software.
- Reconciliation of employee deduction benefits.
- Deliver payroll checks to district locations.
- File payroll and related documents.
- Performs other duties as required by the supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- One years bookkeeping or payroll experience or equivalent training in related field.
- Ability to work with computerized payroll system data entry spreadsheet and word processing programs.
