As a Product Engineer at Thermo Fisher Scientific you will drive advancements that make a global impact. Your work will help ensure quality compliance and innovation in our products and processes as regulations raw materials and processes change.
A day in the Life:
Take charge of designing organizing and rolling out change management projects such as product quality or process improvement supply changes regulatory requirements and cost reduction projects to support current Biopharmaceutical Filtration and Separation products.
Drive continuous improvement mindset by using a multitude of methodologies that include project management agile SCRUM Six Sigma Process and Product Understanding (PPU) and Design of Experiments (DOE) including statistical analysis.
Collaborate closely with manufacturing sites to implement changes.
Guarantee adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements during the qualification process (ISO 9001 Quality system with many aspects of ISO 13485 included).
Work with interdisciplinary teams and departments in various countries to achieve the best possible outcomes and ensure a global consistency between our products manufactured in our various locations.
Lead and support cross functional product improvement projects leveraging agile methodologies that will enable accelerated business growth and
Build and maintain comprehensive product design documentation for projects processes and changes.
Document and report processes and results in both electronic and written format.

Education
High school diploma with five plus (5) years of equivalent experience required.
or
Bachelors degree or higher in a science or engineering discipline (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution with 2 years of combined experience in one or more of the following areas: Product Engineering New Product Development Product Commercialization Project Engineering New Technology Development Applied Research and/or Research in a private public government or military environment.
Experience
Two (2) years in an engineering role (depending on Education)
Familiarity with initiatives involving organizational change
Proven ability to collaborate with manufacturing teams
Knowledge Skills Abilities
Proficient comprehension of quality benchmarks and regulatory obligations
Excellent project management and oral communication (oral written and presentation) skills
Capability to operate efficiently within interdisciplinary and global teams
Microsoft Office proficient
Location: Maplewood MN
Travel: May require up to 10% travel
Compensation and Benefits
The salary range estimated for this position based in Minnesota is $87200.00$130775.00.This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company team and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
