Nurse ApprenticeSNAP Program Treasure Valley

St. Lukes is recruiting for our widely known Nursing Apprenticeship Program (SNAP)!

This employment experience will provide you with the opportunity to expand your nursing knowledge and critical thinking skills while working in direct patient care alongside experienced nursing professionals.

SNAP is designed to provide a supportive positiveacute care experience for students to apply critical thinking and nursing knowledge while functioning in the role of a nurse apprentice. The purpose is to build relationships gain knowledge and exposure to the benefits of a nursing career at St. Lukes Health System.

Two pathways to choose:

Positions could be unit-based or float pool (travels to Boise Meridian and Nampa Hospitals)

Time Commitment:

Full time May 2026 - July 2026 (10-15 weeks depending on what school you attend)

Flex schedule August 2026 May 2027 (One-Two 12 hour shift a month until you graduate depending on what school you attend)

Program requirements:

• Completed junior year of a four-year accredited baccalaureate program in nursing OR completed the 1st year of an accredited ADN College
• Letter from the Idaho State Board of Nursing verifying qualifications to function as aNurse Intern. (Letter not needed until you receive an offer)
• Current AHA Basic Cardiac Life Support for Healthcare Providers certificate.

Career Pathing Go from SNAP to STAR!

Once you have completed your first year as a SNAP you would apply and interview for a New Graduate RN position and join our STAR Nurse Residency Program. All new graduate RNs attend STAR Residency classes 1x a month for a year. This is a nice compliment to help you transition from a student nurse to successfully taking a full patient load.
