Job Summary
Purpose of the role
Asia to LAM is one of the fastest growing and most dynamic trade with solid contribution on Profit & Loss. The market/uptake manager will be working closely with cross functional stakeholders among regions and areas on volume drive influencing supporting key trade strategy decisions and creating the best-in-class ocean product. Meanwhile the market/uptake manager is also responsible for making key decisions on uptake management with cargo steering and pricing recommendations to support the goal of ocean revenue optimization.
Key Responsible
Ensures LAM export volume revenue market share are delivered
Vessel voyage-based forecast and planning to achieve full utilization without overflowing
Maximize total revenue utilization and modelship delivery with proper cargo steering
Optimize deployment and network setup with OnP/OF to accommodate the dynamic cargo flow
Set direction with areas as needed to ensure targets are met particularly volume yield and utilization
Develop expert insights on trade outlook and trends specific to sub-markets trends to support proper planning and rate decisions.
Actively collaborate with OF/OnP/LAM market managers to ensure execution towards aligned direction.
