The Role: What Youll Do
- Lead investigations of subsurface and geologic hazards including slope stability landslides fault rupture liquefaction coastal bluff erosion and debris flow.
- Design foundations retaining walls earthworks ground improvements drainage and other structures sensitive to soil and rock behavior.
- Analyze field and laboratory data interpret geologic history and develop recommendations that are safe constructable and cost-effective.
- Support projects through both design and construction phases including plan reviews construction observation monitoring and peer review to ensure field conditions align with assumptions.
- Mentor junior staff contribute to a collaborative team culture and help uphold the technical standards our clients expect.

What Were Looking For
- A current California license as an Engineering Geologist or Geotechnical Engineer (or both).
- Strong experience in both field and office work: investigations mapping lab work report writing and data interpretation.
- Solid understanding of Californias regulatory requirements related to geologic hazards faulting liquefaction and related areas.
- Sound judgment creativity and strong communication skills to collaborate with engineers architects contractors clients and agencies.
- Bonus: experience with specialized software and tools relevant to slope stability ground improvement rockfall simulations or coastal bluff modeling.
