Job Summary
Description
Primary Accountabilities and Duties:
- Reviews reports and records to ascertain data required for planning department.
- Directs and coordinates all air carrier fueling functions and ensures workers and equipment are available when and where they are needed.
- Investigates causes of accidents and recommends safety measures for preventing further occurrences.
- Communicates required information to other managers supervisors and departments.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Manages supervisors and employees.
- Responsible for the overall direction coordination and evaluation of the shift.
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Companys EEOC and Anti-Harassment and Discrimination policies; including interviewing and training employees; planning assigning and directing work; and appraising performance.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- 3 to 5 years leadership and management experience in the Airport Ground Handling business.
- A proven track record in managing a business unit.
- Experience in budgeting and financial management.
- Experience in operational planning and resource allocation.
- A working knowledge of GSE operation.
- Understanding of the wider airport operational environment.
- Experience and understanding of the commercial issues in aviation.
- Experience of Health and Safety management.
- Must pass a drug test.
- Must be able to lift at least 70 pounds on a continuous basis.
- Valid drivers license in good standing.
- Must be available and flexible to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays.
- Work is done primarily outdoors must be comfortable working in all weather conditions.
- Must pass FBI background check and obtain US Customs seal.
