• PO2 offering salary range from $138539 to $148283 super

Our Senior Planning Officer is responsible for supporting improved strategic planning and systems outcomes that align with government priorities by managing coordinating and evaluating research data analysis and stakeholder engagement projects.

You will provide strategic planning and formal advice to identify and address complex and emerging urban issues strongly contributing to the preparation of innovative strategic plans that respond to growth infrastructure and environmental challenges.

Working with complex planning legislation and data you will need to have a solid background in planning and environmental legislation and strategic planning processes. Your experience in stakeholder engagement negotiation and project management will enable you to navigate competing priorities and shape integrated evidence-based outcomes.

You will contribute to the development of strategic plans policy frameworks and discussion papers that guide long-term strategic land use planning decisions. You will demonstrate the capacity to deliver high-quality strategic analysis and advice supported by clear and compelling written communications across reports briefing notes and other planning documents.

A Degree in urban and regional planning or other relevant discipline essential.
