Position Overview Director of Patient Safety
The Director will lead systemwide patient safety initiatives advancing a high-reliability culture and reducing preventable harm across hospital operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and optimize patient safety programs risk assessments and safety reporting systems
Partner with clinical and administrative leaders to implement proactive prevention strategies
Analyze safety data/trends to guide action plans and strategic improvements
Ensure adherence to Joint Commission CMS and national patient safety standards
Lead root cause analysis sentinel event reviews and performance improvement projects
Qualifications:
Active RN license or equivalent clinical credentials
Minimum 3 years of leadership experience in patient safety quality or risk management
Bachelors degree required; Masters degree strongly preferred
Strong knowledge of regulatory standards and safety improvement methodologies
