Job Summary

The purpose of the Engineer I R&D is to perform engineering duties in designing and developing medical devices. The individual must be able to use their mechanical design knowledge and problem-solving skills to complete routine engineering activities under supervision.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Create models and drawings in SolidWorks to meet design specifications.
Analyze data and perform root-cause investigations.
Conduct product and feature testing in a lab environment.
Conduct each assignment based on broad team input and customer needs.
Communicate effectively with team members and customers.
Carry out engineering assignments that are broad in nature and require ingenuity and problem solving skills.
Evaluate select and apply standard engineering techniques and procedures using judgment to solve difficult technical challenges.
Prepare reports and protocols and perform routine engineering related actions.
Facilitate changes within a design control system.
Translate develop and document engineering specifications based on voice of the customer input.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Engineering

Preferred Qualifications:

Mechanical or Biomedical engineering degree
Experience with prototyping and 3D modeling.
Experience with troubleshooting or building mechanical devices
Knowledge in Design principles engineering concepts
Proficiency in Computer Aided Design and office software applications
