Job Summary

Job Title: Azure Cloud Architect
Location: Berkeley Heights NJ (5 Days Onsite)

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Azure Cloud Architect to lead the design architecture and implementation of enterprise-scale cloud solutions. This is a hands-on consulting and architecture role requiring deep expertise across all Azure platforms and services.
The ideal candidate brings a strong background in Infrastructure Networking and InfraOps with the ability to architect and build secure scalable environments independently. This position requires a balance of technical leadership architectural vision and hands-on execution.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the design and deployment of Azure cloud infrastructure solutions ensuring scalability performance and security.
Build configure and maintain enterprise-grade Azure environments with minimal oversight.
Collaborate with leadership architects and engineering teams to define and implement technical strategies.
Serve as a technical mentor and leader within the cloud architecture team.
Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform for automated and consistent deployments.
Drive infrastructure modernization initiatives leveraging Azure best practices and governance frameworks.
Ensure all cloud solutions meet security compliance and operational standards.

Required Qualifications

8 years of experience working in an architect-level capacity in cloud or infrastructure environments.
Extensive hands-on Azure experience (minimum 5 years ideally 10) across all major Azure services and platforms.
Strong Networking Platform and Infrastructure Operations (InfraOps) expertise.
Proven ability to independently design and implement complex Azure environments.
Proficiency in Terraform and Infrastructure as Code methodologies.
Strong knowledge of Azure governance security and compliance principles.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with both executive stakeholders and technical teams.
Demonstrated leadership experience and ability to guide technical discussions and decisions.

Preferred Qualifications

Microsoft Azure certifications (Architect Expert Security Engineer DevOps Engineer etc.).
Experience with government-level or regulated security frameworks (e.g. FedRAMP FISMA HIGH).
Strong understanding of hybrid cloud architecture networking and security integrations.
Experience leading large-scale cloud modernization or migration initiatives.
