Job Title: Senior Civil Engineer

Job Insight

As a Senior Civil Engineer you will take on complex design and engineering assignments overseeing the planning development and execution of civil engineering projects. Your responsibilities will span across various tasks from project specification and design to client management project coordination and quality assurance.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop detailed project specifications including performance requirements component needs and design criteria.
Perform engineering calculations develop analysis models and create engineering sketches for complex assignments.
Review and approve vendor drawings to ensure compliance with project specifications.
Lead and manage project teams to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery adhering to quality and safety standards.
Prepare and review engineering reports specifications and construction schedules.
Interact with clients vendors subcontractors and consultants to ensure project alignment and resolve design issues.
Participate in site evaluations vendor inspections and equipment compliance checks.
Develop cost estimates and manage project budgets including man-hour forecasts and schedules.
Ensure compliance with industry standards health safety security and environmental regulations.
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to internal design guidelines specifications and control procedures.
Identify opportunities for repeat business and assist with client relationship management.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering (or related field) from an ABET-accredited institution.
Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in civil engineering with a focus on specific sector e.g. infrastructure energy industrial projects.
Experience managing medium-to-large multi-disciplinary projects.
Strong knowledge of civil design codes (e.g. IBC ASCE ACI AISC) and relevant engineering principles.
Proficient in engineering software and tools for design analysis and modeling.
Excellent problem-solving analytical and decision-making skills.
Strong communication skills both verbal and written with the ability to work in a team environment.
Ability to organize and lead projects to successful completion.
