Job Summary

RecruitNet International Ltd specialises in healthcare recruitment for both Domestic and Overseas candidates across Hospitals Nursing Homes Home Care and Community Care settings.

We are currently seeking a Senior Enhanced Nurse ICU for our client hospital in Dublin Ireland.


Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate advanced clinical knowledge and expertise in intensive care nursing practice.

  • Competently operate all ICU equipment required for the management and care of critically ill patients while guiding and training junior staff in its proper use.

  • Adhere to the professional standards outlined in the NMBI Code of Professional Conduct for Nurses and Midwives.

  • Comply with hospital policies and procedures in all aspects of nursing care including the safe administration and management of medications.

  • Foster a positive and supportive learning environment for all nursing staff.

  • Support and mentor less experienced nurses to develop their clinical skills and confidence.

  • Collaborate closely with the CNM2 CNM3 Clinical Facilitator and senior nursing team to ensure effective unit operations.

  • Actively engage in clinical risk management and uphold principles of clinical governance to maintain patient safety and high-quality care within the ICU.





Requirements


  • The importance of NMBI Registered General Nurse Registration
  • A Bachelor of Science in Nursing is a necessary postgraduate degree in critical care and it is preferred.
  • A preceptorship Desired ACLS Essential
  • Five years or more of cardiothoracic or surgical intensive care unit experience together with proof of a beneficial impact on critical care
  • Preceptor for a student enrolled in an adult critical care course

  • Required Skills:

    Proven ability to manage and care for critically ill patients using advanced ICU equipment and technology. Strong clinical assessment decision-making and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication leadership and mentoring abilities. Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment. Commitment to continuous professional development and maintaining evidence-based practice. Strong awareness of infection control health and safety and clinical governance principles. Demonstrated ability to stay calm and focused in high-pressure situations.
