Job Summary
RecruitNet International Ltd specialises in healthcare recruitment for both Domestic and Overseas candidates across Hospitals Nursing Homes Home Care and Community Care settings.
We are currently seeking a Senior Enhanced Nurse ICU for our client hospital in Dublin Ireland.
Responsibilities
Demonstrate advanced clinical knowledge and expertise in intensive care nursing practice.
Competently operate all ICU equipment required for the management and care of critically ill patients while guiding and training junior staff in its proper use.
Adhere to the professional standards outlined in the NMBI Code of Professional Conduct for Nurses and Midwives.
Comply with hospital policies and procedures in all aspects of nursing care including the safe administration and management of medications.
Foster a positive and supportive learning environment for all nursing staff.
Support and mentor less experienced nurses to develop their clinical skills and confidence.
Collaborate closely with the CNM2 CNM3 Clinical Facilitator and senior nursing team to ensure effective unit operations.
Actively engage in clinical risk management and uphold principles of clinical governance to maintain patient safety and high-quality care within the ICU.
Requirements
- The importance of NMBI Registered General Nurse Registration
- A Bachelor of Science in Nursing is a necessary postgraduate degree in critical care and it is preferred.
- A preceptorship Desired ACLS Essential
- Five years or more of cardiothoracic or surgical intensive care unit experience together with proof of a beneficial impact on critical care
- Preceptor for a student enrolled in an adult critical care course

Required Skills:
Proven ability to manage and care for critically ill patients using advanced ICU equipment and technology. Strong clinical assessment decision-making and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication leadership and mentoring abilities. Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment. Commitment to continuous professional development and maintaining evidence-based practice. Strong awareness of infection control health and safety and clinical governance principles. Demonstrated ability to stay calm and focused in high-pressure situations.
