Job Summary

The Administrative Support Coordinator provides administrative support to the College of Health and Human Services (CHHS) the CHHS ASM and CHHS Departments as needed. This Coordinator will be assigned to support various Departments Department Chairs/Directors faculty staff and students in a wide variety of areas including budgeting and finance communications scheduling record keeping and personnel matters. The Admin Support Coordinator also provides customer service for its constituents: faculty staff students and the public-at-large. This position may support multiple department units at one time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Service & Faculty Support: Provides customer service to students faculty administrators and the public including answering phones and greeting Department visitors.
  • Financial Data Entry & Purchasing: Performs data entry of expenditures reconciles funds and reviews fund balances under the guidance of CHHS administration and the Chair/Director.
  • Class Scheduling Support: Assists Chair/Director in tracking faculty schedule availability and preferences.
  • Inventory Control: Keeps inventory of office equipment and supplies.
  • Personnel Administration: Perform needed admin duties for the RTP SPOT lecturer evaluations range elevation and promotion processes.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

Requires a knowledge of various Microsoft Products including Microsoft Office. Microsoft Excel experience and skills are required. Experience in PeopleSoft and Sharepoint are highly preferred. Ability to communicate with an ethnically and culturally diverse campus community. Ability to follow all university policies procedures and guidelines including but not limited to safety civility information security and non-discrimination policies and procedures. Ability to contribute to a positive university experience for each and every student and assist in achieving the universitys commitment to a vision of excellence.

Education and Experience

- Equivalent to four years of administrative support experience required.

-Experience purchasing and managing a budget desired.

Physical Summary

Sedentary work - Involves mainly sitting. Walking and standing are minimal. Lifting is limited to lightweight objects. (10 pounds or less).

Compensation

Salary placement is determined by the education experience and qualifications the candidate brings to the position internal equity and the hiring departments fiscal resources.

Hiring Range: The hiring range for this position is $4047 (Step 1) - $5032 (Step 12) per month commensurate with candidates education experience skills and training.

CSU Classification Salary Range: The CSU Classification Salary Range for this position is $4047 (Step 1) - $5896 (Step 20) per month.

1.0 time-base 40 hours per week.

Duration of Appointment

This is a temporary position for one year with no permanent status granted. Temporary assignments may expire prior to the ending date.
