The Mindess School is seeking a Grade 5 Long-Term Substitute Teacher for the academic year. Anticipated start date is January 3 2026with theassignment concluding aroundMay 18 2026. Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Creating an inclusive engaging and joyful classroom environment
- Planning and delivering instruction aligned with the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks
- Administering and analyzing assessments to guide instruction
- Collecting and using data to inform teaching practices
- Communicating effectively with students families colleagues and school leadership
- Supporting and maintaining classroom expectations routines and school-wide norms
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree required
- Degree in education preferred valid teaching license
- Prior teaching in upper elementary grades preferred
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Ability to build rapport with students and foster a positive inclusive learning environment
- Flexibility reliability and a collaborative mindset
