Job Summary

The Mindess School is seeking a Grade 5 Long-Term Substitute Teacher for the academic year. Anticipated start date is January 3 2026with theassignment concluding aroundMay 18 2026. Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

Creating an inclusive engaging and joyful classroom environment
Planning and delivering instruction aligned with the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks
Administering and analyzing assessments to guide instruction
Collecting and using data to inform teaching practices
Communicating effectively with students families colleagues and school leadership
Supporting and maintaining classroom expectations routines and school-wide norms

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree required
Degree in education preferred valid teaching license
Prior teaching in upper elementary grades preferred
Strong classroom management and communication skills
Ability to build rapport with students and foster a positive inclusive learning environment
Flexibility reliability and a collaborative mindset
