Mechanical Assembler
Hours: 6:00am - 4:40 pm Tuesday - Friday (Mondays off)
Salary: $19-$22/hr.
Responsibilities
Act as a key team member in our manufacturing operation offering technical expertise for the assembly of ModSort units and parts
Use wire termination and component layout tools including but not limited to strippers wire cutters wire crimpers screwdrivers tee square machinist square tape measure wrenches and pliers.
Assembling control panel for Modsort units according to assembly books custom specs & quality standards
Mount electrical components including circuit breakers switches transformers relays contactors terminals input/output devices and/or all other related switchgear electrical devices.
Position bolt screw clip adjust or fasten parts and components together using hand power tools and equipment
Modsort unit testing following quality standards
Following 5S and LEAN manufacturing Standards
Reading and interpreting technical drawings and schematics
Work in a safe clean systematic manner working to C.S.A and company quality requirements
Training provided
Requirements and Qualifications
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Experience or training in electrical/ industrial assembly is considered an asset
Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
Must be flexible highly motivated organized & show attention to details
Excellent work ethic
Manual dexterity
Hand-eye coordination
Team player attitude. We win as a team.
Familiarity with basic tools
Completely and efficiently handle any assigned job with minimal supervision
Able to recommend advise and execute improvements to the production process (techniques tools panel layout materials etc.)
Physically able to lift up to 30 lbs.

While performing the duties of this job the assembler requires repetitive motions lifting squatting kneeling bending walking torquing pulling carrying pulling crouching backward positions and standing for extended periods.
