Mechanical Assembler

Hours: 6:00am - 4:40 pm Tuesday - Friday (Mondays off)

Salary: $19-$22/hr.

Responsibilities

• Act as a key team member in our manufacturing operation offering technical expertise for the assembly of ModSort units and parts

• Use wire termination and component layout tools including but not limited to strippers wire cutters wire crimpers screwdrivers tee square machinist square tape measure wrenches and pliers.

• Assembling control panel for Modsort units according to assembly books custom specs & quality standards

• Mount electrical components including circuit breakers switches transformers relays contactors terminals input/output devices and/or all other related switchgear electrical devices.

• Position bolt screw clip adjust or fasten parts and components together using hand power tools and equipment

• Modsort unit testing following quality standards

• Following 5S and LEAN manufacturing Standards

• Reading and interpreting technical drawings and schematics

• Work in a safe clean systematic manner working to C.S.A and company quality requirements

Requirements and Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent

• Experience or training in electrical/ industrial assembly is considered an asset

• Ability to work independently with minimum supervision

• Must be flexible highly motivated organized & show attention to details

• Excellent work ethic

• Manual dexterity

• Hand-eye coordination

• Team player attitude. We win as a team.

• Familiarity with basic tools

• Completely and efficiently handle any assigned job with minimal supervision

• Able to recommend advise and execute improvements to the production process (techniques tools panel layout materials etc.)

• Physically able to lift up to 30 lbs.

• While performing the duties of this job the assembler requires repetitive motions lifting squatting kneeling bending walking torquing pulling carrying pulling crouching backward positions and standing for extended periods.
