Job Summary

Description

Aerometals is looking to add the following position:

Airframe Assembler

Pay range: $28 - $37 hourly *sign on bonus eligible for journeyman*

Schedule: Monday - Thursday 7:00am - 4:30pm & Friday 7:00am - 12:00pm

The ideal candidate should be able to demonstrate the ability to:

Align and assemble parts to be riveted using jigs holding fixtures pins clamps and fasteners.
Rivet structural assemblies and parts using riveting guns pneumatic drills counter sinks rivet shavers files reamers etc.
Utilize blueprints drawings and work instructions to determine sequence of operations type size for rivets and hole patterns.
Apply sealants adhesives and solvents per customer specifications by using proper safety devices.
Perform layout fabrication and installation of parts equipment or fabricated items.
Use fractions decimal and mathematical formulas to solve dimensional problems.
Cut trim and file parts while verifying fitting tolerances to prepare for installation.
Fasten support and/or hang components and subassemblies.
Remove fasteners without damaging structures.
Verify conformance of finished work pieces to specifications using measuring tools.
Identify product defects and communicate errors to appropriate personnel.
Collaborate with engineers to complete research and development work.
Make tooling as needed.
Bag and tag finished products.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualification Requirements:

Education: High school diploma

Skills:

Excellent attention to detail.
Ability to complete close tolerance work.
Mechanically inclined with good manual dexterity.
Familiarity with drawings specifications and work instructions.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Experience: 3 years in structural assembly - 5 years for journeyman level.

Training: On the job training.
