- Identifies trends and provides guidance to management at all levels to mitigate employee relations issues and promote a positive inclusive and compliant work culture. Assists the regional team in implementing action plans that improve employee engagement and strengthen the employee experience.
- Leads supports and develops a team of People & Culture (Human Resources) Partners providing direction coaching and professional development to ensure high performance and effective business partnership across the region.
- Partners with the Employee Relations team to conduct thorough objective investigations and develop solutions to complex employee issues and concerns.
- Serves as a resource for all employees in the assigned region by being accessible and responsive to People & Culture-related matters.
- Partners with Regional Operations and People & Culture teams to develop and maintain an organizational design structure that supports the business while fostering equitable career paths and development opportunities.
- Supports regional talent management activities and partners with the Regional Operations VP to drive talent and succession planning processes.
- Partners with People & Culture and senior regional leadership to ensure successful execution and compliance with a wide range of initiatives and programs including orientation and onboarding employee events benefits enrollment leave of absence administration compensation reviews and employee engagement initiatives.
- Partners with Corporate People & Culture and Legal to interpret and communicate policies and procedures ensuring compliance with all federal state and local employment laws including those specific to California (e.g. wage and hour pay transparency CFRA/FEHA compliance and meal and rest period requirements).
- Acts as a resource to leaders on compensation and benefit matters. Coaches managers on salary bonus merit and reward recommendations while ensuring alignment with pay equity and transparency requirements.
- Assists in the creation of organizational and talent plans to support the successful opening of new club locations.
- Supports the performance management process to promote continuous improvement and best-practice implementation. Partners with managers on coaching corrective actions performance improvement plans and goal setting.
- Analyzes and interprets employee retention and other key People & Culture metrics partnering with business leaders to develop appropriate action plans and inform data-driven decisions.
- Assesses regional development needs and partners with the Learning & Development team to implement strategies supporting leadership and employee growth. Coordinates and facilitates applicable training programs as needed.
- Maintains thorough and current knowledge of all People & Culture practices employee relations trends and federal state and local employment laws and regulations.
Qualifications :
To perform this job successfully an individual should meet the following minimum requirements.
- 57 years of progressive Human Resources leadership experience with an emphasis in employee relations and generalist HR. Experience supporting a large multi-site field population in California strongly preferred.
- Bachelors degree in Human Resources Business or related discipline required.
- Strong interpersonal communication and creative problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to assess situations make sound decisions and influence effectively at all organizational levels.
- Proven experience managing complex employee relations matters including compliance with California employment regulations (e.g. EEO FLSA CFRA FEHA and wage/hour law).
- Excellent time-management organizational and follow-up skills; able to manage competing priorities independently.
- Energetic collaborative and adaptable with a commitment to maintaining high standards in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness and ability to travel to clubs and regional offices within the assigned market.
- Primary Location: Los Angeles CA (hybrid club/office presence expected).
Pay Transparency: Min $140000 - Max $170000
