As part of the ESA team you will have the following responsibilities:
- Aid to the definition of requirements architectures deployments and verification methods for Virtual Reality Augmented Reality and/or Extended Reality software systems for use-cases like Operations Support Astronaut Training Digital Twin and Simulation and Outreach activities;
- Provide support to Projects on in this area using novel methods and tools;
- Assist in the coordination of technology development activities related to AR/VR/XR focusing on the future needs of the application areas and facilitating the use of AR/VR/XR technology in these areas;
- Provide support in the definition and development applications in the Future Engineering Laboratory;
- Assist the relevant working groups in the XR Team that aims to facilitate knowledge transfer foster cross-collaboration generate strategic outcomes and inspire Europe.
Qualifications :
You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience:
- Masters degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science Engineering Human-Computer Interaction or a related field;
- Minimum of 35 years of professional experience in AR/VR/XR development preferably in aerospace simulation or training environments;
- Proficiency in AR/VR/XR development platforms such as Unity Unreal Engine or similar;
- Experience with 3D modeling tools (e.g. Blender Maya) and spatial computing.
- Familiarity with hardware such as HoloLens Meta Quest HTC Vive or similar;
- Knowledge of software architecture deployment strategies and verification methods for immersive systems.
- Understanding of digital twin technologies and simulation frameworks;
- Fluency in English is mandatory; knowledge of another European language is an advantage.
