About the role:

Join Sydney Waters Major Projects team to lead quality management and assurance across high-profile high-value capital investments. This role is responsible for implementing and ensuring consistency accuracy and efficiency of the Sydney Water Quality Management System program plans and processes within Major Projects. You will play a key role in assuring the quality aspects of assigned major projects during the full project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical and specialist quality advice across project phases including early scoping procurement and contractor documentation reviews.
  • Implement and maintain quality management systems conduct audits manage document control and report on compliance and performance metrics.
  • Lead quality assurance activities such as site inspections surveillance risk assessments and post-project evaluations to drive continuous improvement.
  • Investigate quality incidents analyse root causes and recommend corrective actions to enhance safety and performance.
  • Develop and deliver quality training awareness programs and project inductions to build capability and promote a strong quality culture.

To thrive in this role you will bring:

  • Tertiary qualifications in business engineering or a related field preferably with internal auditor training. Hold a valid Construction Industry Induction White Card.
  • Over 10 years of experience in a quality-focused role within large construction projects and end to end project lifecycle.
  • Strong understanding of quality and construction legislation with demonstrated ability to implement and improve management systems in field-based environments.
  • Proven skills in stakeholder communication negotiation influencing investigation and problem-solving across all organisational levels.
  • A proactive approach to continuous improvement and change leadership with the ability to embed better work practices across programs.
