INVESTOR MIT Investment Management Company (MITIMCo) will aid in managing over $25B for MITs endowment retirement plan and other capital pools to deliver outstanding long term returns that advance MITs research and education by sourcing and screening opportunities; writing memos; leading or co leading due diligence; assessing risk/reward; maintaining global manager relationships; partnering with Operations Legal and Data teams on terms risk and sizing; travel as needed to meet managers attend annual general meetings and evaluating execution firsthand. Global Investment Staff (GIS) invests primarily through partnerships with external managers across public and private marketslong equity hedge funds private equity venture capital real estate and natural resources. With permanent capital and a long time horizon GIS applies patient analytical decision making builds durable relationships and pursues opportunitiesincluding less proven strategieswhere aligned ownership and rigorous underwriting create value. GIS operates a flat generalist model: each team member contributes research serves on the internal investment committee and is empowered to lead from day one with mentorship and collaborative accountability.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED: Bachelors degree or equivalent experience; knowledge of core financial concepts and tools; demonstrated interest in investing; ability to elicit value and weigh differing viewpoints; growth mindset and curiosity; capacity to evaluate businesses and investment mental models; self-starter who follows through; clear written and verbal communication; relationship building skills; and strong time management and organization skills.
