The Opportunity
Based on-site in Düsseldorf within our Instrument Development Team the R&D Engineer will collaborate broadly with a variety of engineering teams (electrical/mechanical/firmware etc) to design evaluate and test components and systems of water analysis devices.
Reporting to the Manager Sensor System & Verification the R&D Verification Engineer is responsible for component- and system tests of water analysis devices within the R&D Team. Your duties and responsibilities include the investigation of analytical methods. This includes hardware software chemistry and application tests of the device. With your recorded results and reports in hand you also contribute to the continuous improvement of our devices and test methods.

In this role a typical day will look like:
You work directly with a team of highly experienced technical experts in multiple roles and technologies
You develop verification- and validation plans and reports
You specify test procedures measurements and evaluation criteria and optimize them in coordination with the development teams
You plan control and conduct manual and automated tests
You evaluate data using statistical methods and present the results within the project team
You coordinate independently with other specialist departments in the event of test deviations
The essential requirements of the job include:
Bachelors or Masters degree in engineering sciences (optics physics fluid dynamics process electrical or similar)
preferably several years in a similar position. Knowledge of water analysis methods is very useful but not critical
Accurate well organized and eager to learn
A creative problem solver and have the ability to work both independently and in a team
Excellent communication skills including English language (advanced) & German (at least B1/B2 minimum)
